About this opportunity:

As Simplity’s Senior Backend Developer you will join a team of skillful professionals working on the Accurity data intelligence software suite. We are developing a set of SaaS web-based applications and websites to help businesses with Data Governance (Business Glossary & Data Catalog, Data Quality, and Reference Data Management). The majority of the team is based in Brno, but we also have offices in Prague.

You will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise-grade software systems at the top of the cloud development stack.

What you can expect:

  • Developing complex systems.

  • Perform coding, code commenting, debugging, bug fixing, code reviewing, and other related activities in accordance with company coding conventions, approved designs, and project standards.

  • Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.

  • An opportunity to identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.

  • Writing technical design specifications, participating in design reviews, and providing input into the design recommendations.

  • Maintaining exacting standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

  • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on budget.

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Being a member of an international agile team, working closely with analysts, designers, DevOps, and testers.

  • Work with a continuous integration approach to deliver features into our production applications.

Perfect job for you, if you have:

  • Relevant experience in SaaS projects based on Spring Boot and Spring Cloud stack commercial Java projects.

  • Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise-grade software.

  • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development theories and techniques.

  • Ability to understand requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems, and processes.

  • Ability to oversee development efforts.

  • Skills and experience as a full stack developer with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Liquibase, OAuth 2.0, TypeScript, ReactJS,

  • Oracle, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.

  • Experience in analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.

  • Experience with team-leading/leading a small team is a plus.

  • Experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Experience with Cloud providers e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, etc., is a plus.

  • Understanding of modern IT, standard DevOps development cycles, and cloud operations is a plus.
