About this opportunity:

Simplity is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team of data analytics experts. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing the data and data pipeline architecture of our customers, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. You will support our database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data analytics projects and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

Perfect job for you, if you have:

  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role (min 3 years)

  • Experience with technologies from any of the following stacks like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Apache, used for storage and processing of large volumes of data 

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.

  • Ability to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.

  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected data sets.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL database design

  • Great analytical skills

  • Experience with design and maintenance of data-centric solutions

  • Profound experience in data preparation and data quality

  • Experience with streaming data solutions a nice to have

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus

  • Data engineering certification (e.g IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus
